Well....today is Valentine´s day and I have been given a task....to write about the time I fell in love with English...and I must confess that it is hard to know exactly when because I started studying English when I was like 8 :) But honestly i can remember when I decided to become an English teacher...well actually since I was a little girl I loved playing role games pretending I was a teacher...I also loved helping my little cousins to learn something related to school but after some time and after listening to people saying that being a teacher would make me feel happy but not rich...I gave up...
In 2001 I moved to Oxford-UK to do the Academic Year course at Kaplan Aspect and then...this love story with my profession really started...at first I used to help my classmates with the grammar doubts and some other issues they would have, then I had the best teacher ever who made me love studying and desiring to do the same thing....teaching :)
Her name was Rachel and she was veru commited,she was always patient, she tried so hard to make us understand everything, she was always smilling and calm, she was very creative, she knew how to manage a class of 20 as if we were in a one-to-one class....anyways...I decided I wanted to be like her...I am still trying actually....but honestly I am half way there for sure and when I see the feedback of my students I am sure I am doing the right thing...
And well the thing is....I love teaching...and that is what I am going to do for good...it does not give me so much money? Well yeah but....it gives me the best days of my life when I see my students developing and improving their Language skills.....
