Hi! I’m Rocío García de Castro, I’m twenty-nine years old and I’m from Sevilla, Andalucía, Spain.
As my education, I studied a university degree in Audiovisual Communication and, nowadays, I am finishing a master's degree in Performing Arts.
I started teaching Spanish three years ago on a face-to-face basis. However, since the Covid-19, I started teaching online.
In the present, I teach Spanish to adults and children all around the globe from USA, UK, Germany, Poland to Pakistan. I have individual and group lessons.
As a teacher I am very approachable, comprehensive and patient. To learn a new language involves a very difficult mental process, so keep calm is essential. I always say to my students: “I don’t want to stress you, I want to teach you”. Therefore, my teaching method is based on advancing little by little but building solid foundations. That’s why I’m constantly fostering student’s feedback.
My lessons tend to be funny, dynamics and well structured. I always adapt my teaching to student level and needs.
I have different methodologies depending on the student. I believe that the most important thing as a tutor is to listen to the student and adapt the classes to his or her needs. That also makes teaching stimulating for me.
I absolutely love languages because I am passionate about communication, that’s why I studied Cinema, Radio, TV and Theatre. Furthermore, language’s knowledge has given me new perspectives and ways of thinking, gaining a better understanding of the world and its cultures.
In conclusion, I love being a teacher because I strongly believe in education as the main engine for a fairer and sustainable world.
