Native English Speaker

Hello! I am a teacher who is fascinated by language and cultural immersion. In other words, I love to travel and connect with new people. I grew up in the United States but I have also lived in Japan, Thailand.

I recently graduated from University, where I studied Sociology and International Relations. I like to talk about current events and things that are happening in the world. Because I am young, I can help you learn American slang and informal English if you'd like. I am originally from California and I have some experience in the film industry, so if movies or Series interest you then we will get along well.

I am currently living in Spain teaching English as a second language to kids from ages 12-17. When I'm not teaching at my school, I am holding private tutoring lessons with other students. I've taught English informally for many years. My mother is a preschool teacher and I would often help her with her students who had just moved to the United States. My experience working with younger children taught me the value of patience and effective communication.

My goal as a teacher is to help you become a more confident Speaker. I wish to create a comfortable relationship with you and an open space for you to reach your potential and ultimately have fun. I will work with you on grammar and structure or whatever interests you may have but my primary focus is on verbal communication. I am also learning my third language right now so I know how difficult this process can be but also how satisfying it is when words and ideas start to flow. No matter what your level is or how long you've been trying to learn English, you should be proud of where you are. Learning something new is difficult and we all learn at a different pace.
