I attended classes with Elena for little over one year, it was offered free of charge at an employment. To my sorrow, the company decided to stop offering Spanish classes and I really miss the Tuesday evenings with Elena and the others in the class.
Elena had a tough time juggling all the newcomers (who attended the free classes once or twice before moving back to their countries) and all different levels of knowledge in Spanish but she did so with bravado!
I liked the structure of the classes. A blend of speaking about what we wanted, of grammar, doing excercises, talking about grammar or a subject, letting the inspiration flow in the small texts we wrote using what we currently were learning. As we were a mixture of people from different countries we learned a lot about each other's traditions and values.
We had so much fun! Oh, how we laughed! And to my surprise I learned a lot of Spanish.
