ENGLISH:

I’m an English language teacher from New Zealand and I have recently moved to Barcelona.

I most recently worked as an English teacher at Languages International, a well-regarded school in Auckland, New Zealand. There, I taught English at various levels, from elementary to advanced. I have experience with exam classes as well as conversation classes.

I have a CELTA qualification (Pass A) and a Law degree, so have plenty of experience with English in academic and business contexts. Everything will be tailored to your needs, we will discuss your learning goals together in the first class and I will make a plan for your learning.

There is the option to do writing for homework too, which I will mark in my own time and discuss with you in class. This writing could be professional, academic, informal or creative.

My classes have a warm environment, but with a strong professionalism. I focus on easy and memorable grammar explanations. I also emphasise student practice. The best way to learn is by speaking and doing!

Classes will be conducted all in English, but I speak Spanish too, if you prefer to communicate in Spanish to arrange the classes. I'm looking forward to meeting you!

Soy una profesora de inglés de Nueva Zelanda y me he mudado recientemente a Barcelona.

Hace poco trabajé como profesora de inglés en Languages International, una escuela muy bien considerada de Auckland, Nueva Zelanda. Allí enseñé inglés en varios niveles, desde elemental hasta avanzado. Tengo experiencia tanto en clases para exámenes como en clases de conversación.

Tengo un título CELTA (Pass A) y una licenciatura en Derecho, por lo que tengo mucha experiencia con el inglés en contextos académicos y empresariales. Todo se adaptará a sus necesidades, discutiremos juntos sus objetivos de aprendizaje en la primera clase y haré un plan para su aprendizaje.

También existe la opción de hacer deberes escritos, que corregiré en mi tiempo libre y comentaré contigo en clase. Esta escritura puede ser profesional, académica, informal o creativa.

Mis clases tienen un ambiente cálido, pero con una fuerte profesionalidad. Me centro en explicaciones gramaticales fáciles y memorables. También hago hincapié en la práctica del alumno. ¡La mejor manera de aprender es hablando y haciendo!
