Alexander Gahr

I have been working as a freelance translator and German teacher in different companies.

In order to obtain a theoretical basis for my work as a GFL teacher, I completed the distance study course "Didactics and Methodology for Teaching GFL" of the Goethe Institute.

During the years 2010 and 2011 I started working as an associate lecturer at the ULPGC teaching German-Spanish Translation as well as English for Health Sciences. Also in 2010, I completed a training course for teachers qualifying me to teach official training courses of the Canary authorities (Canary Employment Agency) after which I taught different courses and worked at inlingua Las Palmas ( ).

In 2015, I started working as a secondary teacher a the official German School Las Palmas where I also taught adult learners at the Goethe Institute examination center, achieving the Goethe examiner certificate. At the same time, I started working again as an associate lecturer at the ULPGC teaching German Language and Culture.
