Alvaro López

Began his musical career at the age of 13 years under the tutelage of a major flamenco guitarist. Later studied at the "HardRock School" and "La Creativa", one of the most important modern music schools of Spain.

He has played everything from Blues and Jazz to Rock, and from Funk and Fusion to Celtic and Hindustani Classical music.

He has performed with numerous bands such as Gypsy Swing "Carromato G.S.", the rumba fusion band "Alpargata Sound System" based in Spain and also the famous Indian classic rock band "Half Step Down," playing at the most emblematic halls of Spain, Ireland and India.

In addition he plays profesionally another instrument; the Sitar.
He has been studing Sitar in India since his 18 years old in an amount of trips to India from one of the best Sitar players of the world: Ustad Fateh Ali Khan. At the same time he stills learning in Spain from Carlos Guerra, propably the master who knows more Hindustani Classical Music of this country.
