Hello future students and parents!
Thank you for your interest in my profile. My name is Anne and I am from North Carolina in the United States. In the US, I studied Sociology and Spanish and received a Bachelor of Arts degree. During my time in college, I received my Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) and Teaching Business English certificate from The TEFL Academy.
I have an intermediate level of Spanish. In 2019, I completed my fall semester at the Universidad de Castilla La Mancha in Cuenca. I had an amazing time and decided that I loved Spain so much that I decided to come back.
Originally, I came to Spain in April of 2020 as an au pair. I worked with an 11 year old and 16 year old girl to be their live-in English teacher. This past summer, I also provided private lessons to an 8 year old and her mom who was in her 50s. Through our conversations and activities they gained fluency in English. I am currently working as language assistant in a primary/elementary school in the center of Madrid.
I have a true love for teaching English and as a language learner myself, I understand how amazing and fun it can be! To watch yourself grow and to be able to communicate with people from all walks of life is an incredibly satisfying feeling. As excited as I am to continue my language learning, I am excited to teach you soon!
Please feel free to reach out to me with any question!
-Anne :)
