Hello everybody, my name is Giulia.
I’m graduated in International Development and Cooperation, and have a Master in Human Development. During my studies I’ve frequently worked as private English tutor for children of different ages and, after graduating, I also obtained a certification in language teaching at Porta D'Oriente, Institute of Italian Language and Culture.
I've worked in various English schools and I'm currently working in Malta in an English academy. I've recently obtained a TEFL certificate.
I myself love learning different languages; I strongly believe in the importance of communication and the power of knowing different languages for personal and professional aims.
Learning should be an entertaining process, faced with enthusiasm and passion, and my goal is to develop our classes in such a way.
I always put the main focus on the students, their necessities and preferences.
If you prefer to start from the grammar I will guide you through the basics adopting a deductive method, thus pushing You to find and understand the grammar rules with examples and exercises instead of just giving you the “pre-cooked formulas”
If you prefer to focus on speaking and listening we will start with topics that you are passionate about, or that are useful for you (for example if you need to learn the language for a specific job position)
I will suggest movies, music or books that you can use during the weeks in order to practice and get used to the language used in real life. Most importantly I will always try to make our classes the more interesting, interactive and lively possible, with you, your passions, needs and preferences at the center of the process.
