English classes with a difference. I'm not a trained teacher, but I am trained in connecting with people to get the best for them

My background is in business, particularly manufacturing. In this I have specialised in the design and creation of high performance organisations - you will see this from my CV on LinkedIn.
In order to create such an organisation, the key is to have a plan and strategy, and then work with the team to develop, implement and continually improve the organisation and people.
The principles, I believe, are directly transferable to language teaching, especially individual classes. It is not enough to have a fixed plan that is applied to all students, as each person has their own interests and from that, the motivation to study and improve their language skills.
Some people may want to focus on grammar and that is sufficient motivation for them: others will be motivated by specific topics, eg work, sport, politics, personal relations etc. The key is a two way conversation with the study to identify areas of interest, plus areas of strengths and weaknesses, and set a plan that will work for the individual.
Language learning is not a one size fits all.
Overall my motivation is to share my knowledge, in this case of English, but also my knowledge and interests in various topics, in order to generate motivation for learning English in the student.
