Hello!

My name is Beth and I've been teaching for over 20 years, but the last 11 have been focused on teaching English as a foreign language. I have a strong background in Montessori methodology, where I was certified and taught for nearly 10 years, as well as a Trinity CertTESOL, TOEFL certification, and regularly attend workshops and courses offered by Cambridge exams in order to keep up to date.

I've always loved education and consider it a very interesting field to be involved in. I teach all ages and levels, but am currently only offering classes for exam prep or to help you feel prepared for specific needs - vocabulary that focuses on your work, for example. I have an excellent success rate in exams - 100% of the students I've sent for the TOEFL exam have passed with the mark they needed to achieve their goals and nearly all of my Cambridge students have also been successful. This includes students working with tight timetables. If you have the desire and are willing to put in the effort, I will get you where you need to be.

While I tailor each class for each student and work with the specific needs they have, I always have an emphasis on speaking in my classes as I feel this is the best way to truly work achieve fluency and confidence with a language. As someone who enjoys studying and learning languages, I understand the challenges involved and am empathetic to how stressful exams can be. My classes aim to lower the stress of these experience and make it more enjoyable - or at least a bit less panic inducing!
