Carlos Martínez

Hello there,

My name is Carlos. I started teaching English in a foreign country and though it was challenging it helped me evolve into the teacher I am now. I’m an adaptable teacher that is always looking for the student to learn as much as they can, while having fun at the same time. Personally, I think engaging the student with their learning is an essential part of a teacher's work, and I make a big effort to make that happen. I’ve been teaching for over a year.

My experience as a teacher has been gained from being an Au Pair in China. During that year, I worked with children of different ages and also some adults. I started my Audiovisual Communication degree in my native country, but due to a variety of reasons I am now in Madrid finishing my studies and in my spare time working as an English teacher.

Due to having lived for one year in Shanghai, I have acquired a basic level in Mandarin, resulting in gaining the HSK 2 certificate. My passion for learning about different cultures has resulted in me trying to learn as many languages as I can, because a whole new world opens up to you when you do it. Thanks to learning English I’ve done a lot of things I couldn’t have done if I didn’t have that skill, and now being a teacher, I want to do the same and give someone the possibility to expand their world through their knowledge.
