Catherine Bern

I’m Catherine, a qualified and experienced bilingual English teacher with a strong background in teaching in the UK, Madrid and currently as an online teacher. I’ve worked with the Spanish Civil Guard, as well as several schools and academies, giving me a deep understanding of Spanish students' learning needs and culture.

I teach A2-C1 levels, working with kids, teens, and adults in general English, and I specialize in preparing students for the PET, FCE and CAE official exams. I particularly enjoy enhancing CAE preparation with my own methodology, especially for the Use of English and Writing sections, while also helping students understand the examiner's perspective and grading criteria. This totally adds a plus for the exam's preparation.

As a journalist as well, I bring a unique perspective to lessons, making conversations more dynamic and relevant. My approach focuses on clear explanations and practical grammar application, ensuring students build confidence and fluency in real conversations.
