My teaching approach is always comprehensive. Then, I focus on the best way to cope with all student learning styles, like visual, auditory, or hands-on. I also try to focus on the content I am teaching by creating real-world connections to see how they can actually apply the information they are learning. When I am building these content experiences for my students, I usually collaborate with my colleagues to develop the best possible learning outcomes. A classroom experience I will never forget is when I was teaching curriculum about subordinate clauses and my students were struggling to understand its classification. So, I took as an example, a text created by the students themselves and we analyzed the different ways of saying through the structures and functions of subordinate clauses. This approach helped them understand its classification and better understand how to identify the different functions in each text. I believe this contributed to being acknowledged by my students and colleagues for my dedication and passion about my profession. I not only consider myself a teacher but also a lifelong learner and try to engage regularly with professional development or learning opportunities.
