In England I started my teaching career as a BTEC and Degree Media and Art lecturer, followed by teaching English Literature and Media in secondary schools. Before getting my CELTA and moving to Spain, I was an English Language teacher and manager at UKLC and Conland School. After joining with Ready English in Igualada, I have taught all levels: from kids to A2, B1, B2, C1 ans C2 - including business IELTS, TOEFL, both in class and online teaching to various classes and businesses (both individual and group classes). In addition, I gained a position as a support English Language specialist in a principle school in Montbui, Igualada. I have also taught one to one English (both personally or online) to teenagers wanting to pass their exams or adults wanting to develop previous knowledge, generally to boost their careers. Gaining a fuller experience each day here in Spain, I would like to further my experiences and this includes teaching online further afield, to students in other countries in order to understand more about our worlds cultures and habits. If I was to describe a snapshot of a class, I would like to say that I always put onus on my students. I aim to stimulate their imaginations, provide context and then I let them problem solve their way through my lesson through independant and group work. Context and enrichment, communication and correction - drilling and building on the principle aim of the lesson are essential for me, as well as providing a calming and enriching environment.
