Hello, I am from Toronto, Canada and I have worked as a high school English teacher abroad. I like to begin by gauging the student’s abilities before we continue. The class will consist of what the student wishes to work on or practice, whatever that may be, from conversation to writing. I will start with a simple introduction and continue from there. Most people want to learn any language for day to day use, with common colloquialism. In my experience if the student does not truly wish to learn then it is really challenging for them to do so. The opposite is true if they are really interested in the subject. I try and make the class fun when I can. I am good at teaching pronunciation as I have an ear for accents and therefore can assist the student in a good way of speaking and hitting the correct notes and letters.

En mi experiencia, si el estudiante realmente no desea aprender, entonces es realmente un desafío para él hacerlo. Lo contrario es cierto si están realmente interesados ??en el tema. Intento hacer que la clase sea divertida cuando puedo. Soy bueno enseñando pronunciación ya que tengo buen oído para los acentos y, por lo tanto, puedo ayudar al estudiante a hablar bien y a acertar las notas y letras correctas.
