My name is Deborah. I am an experienced and qualified British native teacher of English. I am sociable, friendly and full of fun! Over my 28-year career teaching English to foreigners I have taught in state schools, universities, private language academies and one-to-one classes to all ages and levels. My specialities include:

I have taught English in a variety of settings in France, Spain, Thailand and Laos.
I am now teaching online to students from all over the world. Please feel free to read some of their references.

My objective for the online classes is to take adults with a B1/B2 level to a level of fluency compatible with C1/C2. The practice is speaking only, with grammar reminders, new vocabulary and expressions, increasing confidence and enjoyment of the spoken English language.

If my students wish to bring a work email, document or piece of writing for correction, this will be done in class. I have also helped students with preparation for their oral exams (Cambridge, TOEFL and Open Competition exams - "Oposiciones").

I have many tools for homework if the student wants to work outside the class.

Each class costs 20 euros and lasts for 55 minutes. I try to make these 55 minutes fun, happy and relaxing for my students.

I’ve been working with Deborah for 6 months and I’m really happy! With Deborah time passes very quickly and the classes are very rewarding. We take the opportunity to talk about politics, culture, about everyday life. We always find a topic to talk about. Is easy to have a trust relationship with her. I am talking English lessons one hour per week. I am having the kind of lessons I like based on oral interaction. She gives me the kind of conversation I need, and she corrects my spelling mistakes when necessary. Thanks to my weekly class with Deborah I keep making progress with my English.

Deborah es una fantástica profesora, con mucha experiencia y siempre muy paciente y amable. Las clases son muy amenas y pasan rapidísimo, y en ellas hablamos de temas muy diversos. Así aprendes nuevo vocabulario y expresiones muy rápidamente. Te va escribiendo sobre la marcha las correcciones y palabras nuevas, de modo que las puedes ver en el momento. Creo que es un método muy didáctico que te permite aprender y mejorar rápido. Es muy flexible con los horarios. Para mí, la mejor profesora de inglés que he tenido y con la que más estoy aprendiendo.
