Douglas Mackin

I am a TEFL qualified, native English language teacher from London, with over 10 years experience in teaching students of all ages. I am currently based in Cubelles, but can travel within the Catalonia area.

I employ a fun and interactive teaching methodology. I have a patient, relaxed and methodical style.

I offer private conversational or structured classes, tailored to suit each individual.

I have a broad general knowledge, but specialise in the arts, music, film, culture and sport.

I believe that teaching should be fun and never a chore. I like to make my students feel as comfortable and as relaxed as possible.

Confidence building is very important to me, as I think that this is an essential part of learning and progressing through the levels of not just learning a language, but learning any new skill.

In my spare time, I exercise regularly, whilst maintaining a healthy diet. This is very important for my mind and my body.

As well as being a teacher, I am also a musician, composer, filmmaker and scriptwriter. I have many creative projects in the works and love making art.

This year, as well as teaching English, I will also be teaching Film Production and Music Production. I am more than happy to take on any other students who may want to develop their creative abilities in any of these areas, as well as creative writing and songwriting development.
