Ed Cousland

My name is Ed Cousland, I am a native British English speaker from Wolverhampton, England. I have lived in Barcelona since November 2015 and speak Spanish at B1/B2 level.
I am both an artist and an English teacher. I have a BA Fine Art degree, a PGCE in secondary art and design on the art teaching side and the CELTA on the English teaching side.

I have been teaching art since 2011 and teaching English in Barcelona since 2016.

I offer art classes hosted at Arteria Boutique Gallery in Gràcia and English classes in at your house, place of work or in cafes.

My style of teaching English is in a relaxed way where I respond to your needs and gain an understanding of your level and adapt the lessons accordingly so that I can fill in any gaps in your knowledge and then push you further as you improve. If you want conversation classes, I can talk for a very long time, if you want grammar classes I can give you lots of practice. If you want to practice phone or email English both formally or informally I can help with that. I have experience teaching children, teenagers and adults and am flexible at all age ranges.

I teach art in a similar way where the focus is on teaching art without anxiety and in English. I can teach all types of drawing, painting and art history.

As an artist I am an oil painter, watercolour painting, I paint spray paint murals, draw and work with Carrer Mozart for the Festa Major de Gràcia.
