Hola!!
I am an experienced Spanish and English teacher with Postgraduate qualifications in Teaching and Linguistics, and have taught migrants, adults, young learners and international students for over 20 years in Sydney, Paris, Milan and my hometown, Zaragoza (Spain). I have taught at universities, Instituto Cervantes and numerous 'academias'.
I offer face to face teaching in Seville or online teaching - I use Zoom and current digital resources to make the classes as interactive and engaging as possible.
My teaching methodology is student-focused, which means that rather than stick to a rigid syllabus, we plan and agree on objectives and preferences. Having said that, I am an experienced teacher and examiner and I like to have a clear sense of purpose in lessons. My job is to make you move forward towards greater fluency and accuracy. As the first school that I worked for said in their flyer: "We have ways to make you talk" :):)
That means that I have to count on you to do some work on your own, so that you do not rely 100 percent on our lessons. And I too have to follow up. Constancy is more important than intensity when it comes to language learning, and I like to provide interesting and fun things to do in your own time that can optimise what you learn in class.
I try to conduct the lessons fully in Spanish so that you immerse yourself in the language and will teach you strategies to become more self-reliant and autonomous in your learning. You can translate occasionally, sure, but the aim ultimately is to dream, think and "live" in Spanish!
I am here to motivate and encourage as much as to teach. Hasta luego!
