Speaking clearly and the ability to express ones needs and feelings fluently is a very important part of learning a language. Yet, it’s importance is sometimes overlooked in the persuite of and focus on getting a firm grasp the theoretical aspect of grammar and vocabulary. As a result, speaking practice suffers. While a classroom setting may be perfect for the improving said grammar and vocabulary, it is almost impossible for each student to get the amount of speaking practice need to improve oral expression.
A one to one environment is the perfect setting for conversation practice. One full hour of speaking, asking questions, using all the grammar and vocabulary that you learned in the classroom, but having fun while doing it!
It is easier to understand how grammar and vocabulary when used in context within a conversation rather than as in a drill exercise or “translation” activity.
Let’s face it, SPEAKING FLUENTLY and expressing oneself is usually why most people want to learn a language, true?
