Frank Durand

Frank Durand was born in Havana ,Cuba .He began playing drums at the age of 12 years old, has performed as a drummer with a lot of major groups in Cuba in virtually every musical genre:from straight ahead jazz traditional to Cuban styles funk ,latin jazz .

He has played and toured all across the world, being a prominent member of many Cuba’s most popular groups such a Interactivo ,Bamboleo ,Los Papines ,Klimax ,Aldo Lopez-Gavilan ,Roman Filiu Quartet ,Sexto Sentido among others.
In 2005 he moved to Toronto ,Canada quickly making a name for him self locally.Playing with Jane ~Bunnett with several times Juno awarded,Hilario Duran ,Randy Brecker ,Molly Johnson ,David Virelles, Rich brown .

Now leaving in Europe playing with Omar Sosa ,Carlos Sarduy ,Yilian Cañizares ,Albert Bover ,Marinah (Ojos de Brujo) Grammy winner ,Childo Thomas ,Mel Seme ,Felipe Cabrera ,El Comite ,Ivan (Melon) Lewis.
