I am a patient and intuitive tutor who understands that everyone learns differently, whether you're 9 or 90-years old.

Having established your level of understanding, I'll use different tools such as worksheets, role-playing situations and things that interest you, in order to help you develop fluidity with the English language. As we examine tenses and plurality, you’ll become familiar with the context of time and its relationship to words, and we’ll use listening activities to assist with retention of learning. Also, Google Classroom will allow us to interact in real-time as we navigate the various aspects of study.

Meanwhile, storytelling and script-writing are fun ways to engage with this beautiful language.

For instance, through language, we can talk about things like character development while asking questions like: what does a character want? Why does a character want it? What is going to challenge a character to make getting it difficult? What are the main themes and sub-themes that will fuel a main character and sub-characters? How will a character change throughout the story? Is what I’m writing relatable to life as a human being? As we then discuss your favourite character in a film and a book and why you like them, we can explore the many themes of life from love, hope and happiness to regret, fear and sadness.

Learning a language can be difficult but also fun, too, meaning a relaxed approach can make the process easier and enjoyable.

I’ve spent many years trying to become a professional writer and although I came close to having a book published, I didn’t succeed. So, while I can’t offer you tutoring as a successful writer, I can still help you to learn and love the English language.
