Glyn Lloyd-Staples

Hi I'm Glyn. I have taught English for the last 15 years, in the Czech Republic, South Korea, and in Barcelona, which has become my home. I have also lived in Alicante and near Tarragona, but Barcelona keeps calling me back! I enjoy art, literature, and all kinds of music. I am very easy to talk to and like to talk with my students about anything and everything! I modify my methodology based upon each student's aims and needs. If you want to focus on grammar or on exam preparation I have books in .PDF format and other materials to help with this process. Or if you want to focus on conversation, like many of my students, what I have found to work the best is to talk freely until a difficulty arises of itself, and then to explain the correct way of saying something, and practice further examples using the same grammar point.

Either way I am very easy to talk to!

I am a qualified teacher (I received the Trinity Cert Tesol in Prague 2008, and completed a DipTesol from the London Teacher Training College in 2021).

I also have worked for many years with children, including four years working in Spanish concertadas (primary and ESO.) If you want that you or your child has the extra edge, or to try and undo some of the disruption caused by the pandemic, do not hesitate to contact me!

I live between la Barceloneta and el Poble Nou and prefer to give classes either online or near these areas, but let me know if you live in other Barrios and perhaps we can work something out!
