Hi! My name is Hanna. I was born in Ukraine, but I was raised in Lima, Peru, since I was a baby, so there I grew up speaking Spanish as my mother tongue. I moved to Spain 10 years ago. Here I've graduated with a Bachelor in Translation and Interpreting (EN/DE>ES) and later I finished a Master in Spanish Teaching as a Foreign Language, both in Universidad de Salamanca. I am currently (this summer) doing a Workaway in Punta del Hidalgo, Tenerife.
About me: I enjoy nature: having time next to the river, lakes, the sea... I love hiking and camping. I am also interested in ecological agriculture, permaculture and bioconstruction. In my spare time, I play the electric guitar, watch movies, write and when possible, I go dancing on the weekend :)
My goal as a teacher is, mainly, to create a safe space, where the student can feel free and comfortable expressing themselves. A place where they are aware they play the main character of the learning process, where I support with my guidance, indications and learning tools.
The fact that I've lived in different Spanish-speaker countries allows me to be aware of the diversity and richness within Spanish language while staying in a neutral register and I would love to share that with you too.
I especially focus on the student's motivations. That is crucial in order to adapt the content, intensity and activities of the lessons to the student's personal needs and language level. I usually include different sections in the lesson: phraseology activities, grammar, conversation, watching visual, audio content and reading texts to look up for new words, amongst other activities.
