Inma Mendoza

As a native Spanish speaker, teaching provides me with the opportunity to maximise the sense of fulfilment achieved when sharing and imparting knowledge and skills. Furthermore, my background stands me in good stead with every students of all levels and ages.

During my M.A. in teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language I gained practical experience of teaching both lower and upper intermediate learners. My classroom manner is efficient but friendly and I always strive to ensure students are engaged in class. I plan my lessons meticulously with clear procedures and detailed language analysis, and my focus includes not only instruction in the language but also the culture of the languages I am teaching, as I consider a language to be better understood within its cultural environment.

My personal experience as a Foreign languages learner gives me insight to draw on when addressing learner issues, both sensitively and appropriately. I have developed some differentiation techniques, and monitor well, adapting lesson plans as necessary to address student needs.

I am a calm and supportive team player and believe that further experience will help me develop further as an effective teacher of Spanish.
