Jacqueline Anderson

I currently have over four years teaching experience in private schools in Mallorca. I teach all levels from absolute beginners to proficiency and I adapt my lessons according to the requirements of each individual student. I also have a lot of experience in dealing with students with learning difficulties, as well as well as young students with extremely high IQs. I have a lot of experience in exam preparation, including Cambridge exams and have helped achieve excellent results, with some students being awarded higher levels than the actual exam that they took.

My first lesson is always getting to know the students, what their reason is for learning English, what their hobbies and interests are and getting a good idea of their character in general. As well as teaching text book grammar, etc, I also enjoy teaching through games and other educational activities. I have used a number of interactive text books, many from Macmillan Education.

I pride myself in making students feel at ease and tailor my lessons according to their requirements, as well as their personal interests. I have successfully increased school grades for all my students and have had many referrals from mainstream schools and universities.

I use songs and poems for younger learners, interactive games for teenagers, interesting news articles for advanced students. I have also done a number of film reviews with different levels of students.

English in the workplace is another area in which I specialise. I have given many lessons to people in the catering industry, construction workers, hairdressers and estate agents.

I just love teaching and it gives me a fantastic sense of achievement when I know I have helped a student understand a new concept.
