Jake Dubin

Born in the United States, I have a background in engineering and nuclear power. After a few years, I decided to leave in order to travel the world. I enjoy sharing experiences and cultures with people from all over the world. After living in Prague, Czech Republic for 1.5 years, I moved to Malaga, Spain.

I am an experienced and knowledgeable English teacher and tutor for all ages in both private and group settings. I use my background to help break down complicated ideas into more easily understood parts. No matter how complicated it may seem, there is (almost) always a reason that English is the way that it is. If you want to learn not only how to speak English, but also why we say things the way we do, look no further for a teacher!

I teach both in-person and online lessons for A2-C2 English speakers.

With two years of experience in teaching English, I cater my lessons to your learning style and ability. I have some students who simply want to practice conversation with a knowledgeable partner who can error correct and explain how and why the correction is needed. Other students want lessons focused on grammar, reading, or listening with activities and practice exercises.

I have a variety of online and textbook resources available to assist you in your English learning. Depending on your learning style and how you learn best, I will design an English program to suit your needs and help you to reach your goals.
