Having spent many years working in business I have a strong ability to communicate and understand how to get the best out of my students through many different learning tools. It's important to recognise different learning styles. Being able to identify styles can help eliminate any fears students have around learning a new language.
I have been teaching English now for over 5 years, working with young learners, teenagers, adults and adults work in businesses.
Young Learner,s I tend to focus on Project-based learning. Starting from a concrete problem, instead of the traditional theoretical and abstract models, sees notable improvements in students’ ability to retain knowledge as well as the opportunity to develop complex competencies such as critical thinking, communication, collaboration or problem-solving
Teenagers and Adults I tend to focus on gamification, thinking-based learning which involves teaching students to contextualize, analyze, relate, argument in short, convert information into knowledge. This is a transferable skill when reading, writing, and, speaking.
The most important thing is learning English is fun!
