I teach everything from beginner to intermediate to advanced; my lessons encompass a broad range of music theory, practical exercises, and the study of songs. This consists both of songs assigned by me and songs the student desires to study. Sheet music will be supplied by me but the student may of course submit sheet music of their own, as well.

Beginner
Beginner students don't have knowledge of sheet music, playing form, or playing basic songs yet. The basics that are taught at this level include posture, hand and finger position, music scales, chords, reading of simple sheet music, and practicing basic songs.

Intermediate
Intermediate students already have a basic understanding of music notation (sheet music), playing form, and musical scales (scales are not required, however, this is included in intermediate as well). For intermediate lessons there will be taught musical scales (church scales included), more advanced playing techniques, and practicing of intermediate songs.

Advanced
Advanced students have both basic and intermediate knowledge of piano playing. Advanced lessons include the continued practice of music scales, advanced playing techniques, practicing advanced songs, and improvisation.
