I believe in being open minded to the student with my lesson approach, and cater the lessons around them. This is because we all learn in different ways, and it is up to us as teachers to identify your strongest way and help you expand on that so you can learn the language competently and with confidence.

If you prefer book work, we work on that and go over all the little details that you need answering and build a vocabulary. If you prefer to discover the language, we set up topic based lessons, where you as the student choose the topics you wish to discuss and we build the correct vocabulary through listening, speaking, writing and reading. I will also cover certain ways to expand your vocabulary and be able to use English through common phrases, our sense of humour, the way we shorten words etc. Being a native English speaker from Oxford, I am able to explain certain things to you that the book, or a person who has learnt the language couldn't.

My aim is for you to learn as quickly as possible, but efficiently and by having fun also. It is important you can USE the language and not just learn it and then keep it locked away in the back of your brain.
