Tramite un'amica di mia figlia ho conosciuto Karla, la mia insegnante di spagnolo, con la quale sto studiando da maggio 2024. Avevo imparato un po' di spagnolo usando il traduttore del cellulare e girando per negozi, ma capivo poco di quanto mi dicevano e mi mancavano le parole (soprattutto i verbi) per spiegarmi. Ora, grazie a Karla, riesco a capire gran parte di quello che mi dicono e comincio a parlare decentemente spagnolo. Ho 77 anni e mezzo, il mio cervello non è certo giovane, ma Karla sa spiegare chiaramente le cose, e gli esercizi che mi dà sono molto utili. Ha molta pazienza, non rimprovera ma fa ripetere quello che non va, mi fa anche complimenti quando vado bene. Con lei posso parlare di moltissimi argomenti, dalla musica alle cose di famiglia alle notizie di attualità, e anche questo aiuta ad imparare.

Ho conosciuto Karla quando ho deciso di prendere lezioni di spagnolo, essendoci trasferiti a Gran Canaria, grazie ad un'amica di mia figlia. All'inizio ero traumatizzata, il mio spagnolo era scarsissimo, ma Karla ha saputo subito tranquillizzarmi ed ora, dopo 7 mesi, non solo ho imparato a capire quasi tutto quando le persone locali mi parlano, ma riesco anche ad esprimermi abbastanza bene in questa lingua, prima per me sconosciuta. Spiega molto bene e se non hai capito fa ripetere fino a che tutto non è corretto. Le lezioni non sono mai noiose, si parla di geografia, cucina, fatti quotidiani. Premetto che non sono più giovane (quasi 78 anni) e quindi la capacità di apprendere non è più quella di una volta e i miei tempi di apprendimento sono un pochino più lenti. Una cosa molto positiva, che le fa onore, è che non ti sgrida mai ma ti corregge e quando tutto va bene ti fa anche i complimenti!

Karla is an amazing teacher. She has a very individual approach which makes the classes special as you can go as slow or as fast as you feel like according to your level and how you feel. She is very understanding and caring in general and always makes me leave my classes very happy and satisfied. She gives great advice that helps you progress very quickly. With her optimistic approach to life you really feel better after a lesson even if it wasn’t your best. She is keen on engaging and talking about topics that interest you which is always nicer when learning a language. She also has a very practical approach to learning a language and teaches you the actually used rules and ways of speaking. Overall she is a great teach and I would recommend her to anyone no matter your level!

I spent months searching for a teacher who was a good fit for me, and now I'm happy to have found her. Karla knows exactly what a student needs to improve from current situation, and she drags it out with her heart. She is very patient and fun, and I surely enjoy my lessons with her. Karla tiene un lenguaje adecuado para los que se acercan al español por primera vez como yo, habla de forma comprensible y a la velocidad adecuada. La lecciones son interesantes y siempre intentaba practicar situaciones reales. La única actividad que me gustó menos, son las dos lecciones sobre podcasts: me gustaria una discusión todos juntos en vez de leer el resumen de cada estudiante. Aparte de eso, las otras lecciones son dinámicas, interesantes y definitivamente útiles para acercarse al español. Gracias Karla

My experience learning Spanish with Karla has been amazing! When I started my lessons I had very little Spanish. I feel like I have progressed really quickly with her help. Karla's lessons are always interesting and fun and cover a wide range of topics including lots of dialogue and expressions I can use in daily life. Quella di Karla é una vera missione. Fa di tutto per insegnare lo spagnolo in modo sempre interessante e divertente. Musica libri film podcast , utilizza ogni mezzo per farti apprendere la lingua . Inoltre il fatto che conosca perfettamente l’italiano ( oltre che l’inglese ) aiuta molto gli studenti italiani a capire gli errori che spesso si fanno a causa delle similitudini tra le due lingue .

I took two weeks of classes with Karla in March of 2019 and I enjoyed them so much and had realized I had gotten so much information on how to learn Spanish, that when I returned to Spain in July of 2021, I decided to take four weeks of classes. Karla is very well prepared, take notes and helps to really work of your pronunciation, grammar and speech. If you really want to improve your Spanish, spending time with her is a good investment!

Despite the fact that there many cool Spanish teachers, it is rather difficult to find the one you will feel 100% comfortable to work with. Karla is an exception. You will never be bored with the classes. Anytime you are stuck, she will explain 10000 times with no judgement. Somehow she makes difficult easy to understand. And yes, even if you think Spanish is not your cup of tea, you will love it - te lo juro :) Buena suerte!
