Katie Hunt Hunt

My name is Katie Hunt, I am 31 and have my Masters in Music. I come from Chicago, and worked as a professional orchestra violist and music teacher in Berlin Germany for the past five years.
I just arrived to Barcelona to stay here for the summer, and am looking for teaching possibilities here so I can relocate to this city.

My teaching experience is quite extensive. I have been teaching private violin and viola lessons for the last ten years. In Chicago I worked for a company wherein I taught group music classes to elementary students in an after school music program. I studied two years of conducting (orchestral and choral), and have led a large number of youth orchestra rehearsals and string sectionals. I was hired to travel to Lagos Nigeria for two weeks as a guest instructor where I led group master classes and worked with the MFM student orchestras.

In Berlin where I lived for the past five years, I worked as a section violist with the Brandenburger Symphoniker, and subbed with various Orchestras around Berlin including Berliner Symphoniker, Potsdam Neues Kammerorchester and Anhaltische Philharmonie Dessau.

My teaching workshops and concert tours have taken me to China, South Korea, Nigeria, Italy, Belgium, France, Israel, Canada and throughout the United States.

I really believe in the power of teaching and educating the next generation.
