I would like to consider myself to be an energetic social butterfly, who has patience, tolerance and resilience. Working with young people has enabled me to display a sense of fun and imagination , as well as strengthening my communication skills. I'm passionate about learning, understanding and contributing towards children’s physical, social, intellectual and emotional development, through group leadership and empathy.
Regarding my experience, I have worked as a Teacher/Teaching professional for several years in infants, primary and secondary schools. I'm a graduate with (Spain) University Certificate in TEFL and I-to-I TEFL, International Course (UK) Gatehouse Level TEFL and Bachelor's Degree in Dance.
I understand the importance of creating a challenging, fun, interactive and safe environment for students. I take a interest in getting to know students to better understand their needs and enjoy taking an active role in coordinating activities. A capable communicator who has no trouble explaining difficult concepts to learners of various abilities. I know how to listen and encourage others to listen, able to spot when a student is struggling and able to tailor my approach to the student's needs. I'm passionate about sharing knowledge and inspiring students, helping students develop the skills to succeed in their later educational years. I speak English and a basic understanding of Spanish that allows me to communicate with the students and parents.
While working at Kids & Us as a Teacher/Teaching Assistant, I was responsible for helping with lesson plans, monitoring students, maintaining student records and assisting students with study skills and special assignments. I worked primarily with students between the ages of 4-18 and took part in seasonal events and helped prepare students for A1-C2 Official Cambridge Exams. I was also recognised for my ability to develop connections with students and empathise.
I also worked during the summer, as a Camp Monitor at Kids&Us and The British School of Costa Daurada. During the summer programme, I worked with children aged 3 to 14 in a variety of settings, including nature classrooms and outdoor learning areas and taught about nature preservation, fitness, games and activities.
At The British School of Costa Daurada I gained 2+ experience working with 3 year olds, which broadened my knowledge as a Teacher and in Child Care. Prior to this role I had the opportunity to live with 3 different families, with children between the age of 3 to 12, to strengthen and expand the children´s understanding of English.
