Lindsay Kerr

I have been a Primary Teacher and Head Teacher for the past 20 years. I am qualified Head Teacher as I have the NPQH qualification and also a qualified English language teacher ( Cambridge CELTA) and Cambridge examiner.

For the past 19 years I have been teaching in a variety of different locations and have been a private home tutor for children who want to advance their English language( ages 3-14), as well as teaching students with dyslexia, IGCSE preparation and preparation for Cambridge Examinations. At present I am teaching various in-company classes in Valencia, as well as working in several public schools teaching Erasmus courses and general English.

I was Head of Primary of an International IB school in Valencia. When I joined the school in 2011 the Primary department was deemed satisfactory by the OFSTED inspection, through careful planning and reorganisation I brought up the standards of teaching and learning to Good with elements of Outstanding within 2 years. Since leaving the school I have held various positions including training new teachers at a school in Gstaad,English language teacher and personal assistant.

I am a careful planner and design curriculums with the individual students in mind. I always make learning a fun and stimulating experience using drama, songs, film,creative activities and art to advance the students learning. I focus on the four elements of learning(speaking,reading, writing, listening) and ensure there are equal opportunities for these elements within the daily and weekly planning, and adjust my planning according to the students specific needs.

I am also a trained Cambridge teacher and Examiner and throughout my career I have continued to teach students from 3 years old in language academies, at school and privately and also prepare students for the examinations. Feedback from parents is always positive and I have a good relationship with all my students.
