Lisa Berger

While I was born and raised in New York City, as soon as I finished my MA, I was became the International News Producer at Canal+ TV in Madrid. I have been in Spain ever since, since 1991, based primarily in Barcelona, except for a year in the US I have alternated between producing and researching historical documentaries with teaching English individually and in-company.

I taught ESL to adults in-company through the Instituto de Estudios Norte-americanos from at the Universitat Abat Oliba to professors and staff for 3 academic years, to undergraduate students on-line via UOC, conversation and pronunciation for professionals including directors of communications of multi-national companies and CEOs, to people preparing job interviews, thesis defense, as well as Sports Broadcasting to undergraduates at EU Business School Barcelona two summers (2016 and 2017), TOEFL exam prep at ESADE, Citizenship to international masters students, and First Certificate and Advanced exam preparation for individual adult students.

Most recently, I have become specialized in teaching one-on-one classes for professionals via Skype to prepare business presentations or to improve their speaking and pronunciation skills in general. I cater each class to students' individual needs in order to observe measurable improvement. Experience pays off!
