Hello,
My name is Lourdes López. I have been teaching English for quite a while now ( more than 20 years) I heve been teaching as a private teacher and as an English teacher in an academy in Madrid. I learnt the language in England while living there, then I worked and travelled working for some British companies for some years. I could say part of my education was done in English.
My main goal while teaching is to" make my students talk " -this is -to improve their communication skills. I do firmly believe that a student gets to like the language when is able to use it at "regular daily basis". Therefore ; pronunciation. entonation, repetition...there are some of the items that we need to work hard in the lessons, always considering age, level, dedication of the student and so on. I must emphasize that I am a great fan of the Vaughan method which helped me a lot and helps me nowadays.
I try to make my lessons dynamic and find some themes of interest for the student to improve his/her upturn.
