Soy estudiante de bachillerato en un colegio británico. El inglés es mi idioma materno, ya que mi madre me ha hablado en inglés desde que nací. Hace unos tres o cuatro años, aprobé un examen de aptitud lingüística (enlace al certificado por correo electrónico). Tengo un acento británico (nativo) pero no tengo un acento regional, lo que hará que sea más fácil de entenderme. Aunque vivo en españa, estoy rodeado por la cultura inglesa, sea por simplemente estar con mi madre y mi familia, ver la televisión inglesa, escuchar la radio, o ir al colegio, y me encantaría summergirles a mis estudiantes en la cultura inglesa porque creo que la immersión es una de las mejores maneras de dominar un idioma. Hi, I'm currently a year 13 student studying at a British school in Madrid. English is my first language, and I've been speaking in English ever since I can remember. A few years ago, I was awarded the language status 'expert' on an English proficiency exam (link to certificate can be sent by email). I speak British English but without a regional accent which might make it slightly easier for the student to understand and pronounce. Even though I live in Spain, I would say I live in a sort of 'English bubble', whether it's me speaking English at home, watching English television, listening to BBC Radio 4, or just being at school, and I would love to be able to offer my students the same type of anglo-immersion that I have received despite me living in a different country, and which has helped me to retain my own language.
