Spanish for real life

My name is Lidia , I'm from Madrid, Spain. I am a social worker and I used to work in an emergency service. After many years of doing crisis intervention and dealing with emergencies I decided to change my career but not my goal. My goal has remained, which is , be part of a journey of empowerment and to help someone to reach their full potential. And is there something more empowering than learning a new language?
I decided to learn English after a three months trip to India. I went there with two friends and I felt like a burden because they had to translate everything for me and I couldn't do anything without them. I realized then , that without languages I will always depend on someone else, so I moved to the Uk to study English and lived there for 4 years. I also speak Italian and currently I am studying russian.
For me language means freedom, means to have access to information that you wouldn't have otherwise, to be able to connect with people on a deeper level, to travel, to experience a new self

I am a fully certified teacher by Instituto Cervantes with several years of experience teaching Spanish online. As I said before, I have been a student of languages myself and I wasted a lot of my precious time studying tons of grammar without being able to have a conversation where I didn't feel stupid.
So I have decided to be the teacher I would love to have when I was studying. This means a strong focus on conversation and building confidence while creating a grammar foundation. I specialized in beginners, so don't worry , you are in good hands.
