My name is Maria Alejandra, but everybody calls me Ale, because it's shorter and easier to remember. Well, first of all I like to know the english level of the student (writting, speaking, listening and grammar) this is very important, because we can settle on the rigth place. I prefer that the students talk about their life, hobbies, etc., on the first class, because it is more simple to understand the language when you put it on your day by day. Furthermore, I like to make the student to look for the words they don't know or don't remember on the dictionary, it's ok to look online (all the tools works), create a list of every new word they listen, see when they read a book, watch a movie or walk down the street. I gave them some websites where they can look for movies just in english, to improve their understandign of the language. And that's pretty much the type of help that I like to give to all my students.

Mi nombre es Maria Alejandra, pero todos me llaman Ale, porque es más corto y fácil de recordar. Bueno, lo primero que me gusta saber es el nivel de inglés del estudiante (escrito, hablado, gramática y escucha) esto es muy importante, ya que nos podremos situar en el nivel correcto. Prefiero que en la primera clase los estudiantes me cuenten de sus vidas, sus hobbies y demás porque es más fácil entender un idioma cuando hablas de tu día a día. Además, me gusta que los alumnos busquen en los diccionarios aquellas palabras que no entienden o no recuerdan, que hagan listas de palabras nuevas que escucharan en la calle, vieron en un anuncio, película, etc. Así mismo, les recomiendo sitios web para que vean películas y series en inglés, grupos de música, libros y todo el material que necesiten para practicar en todos los sentidos.
