I live in the East of England and have been a teacher of English as a foreign language for the last 18 years. I’ve lived in several different countries, including Spain, Poland, Japan and Germany and have taught a wide variety of students of different nationalities, ages and levels.
I specialise in training people up for the Cambridge suite of exams (KET, PET, FCE etc). I also have lots of experience of preparing students for the IELTS exam, am a qualified speaking and writing examiner and have the Delta ( a postgraduate teaching qualification).
My classes focus mainly on speaking and listening practice and will give you the opportunity to learn and practice lots of new vocabulary, while also including some reading and writing activities. I want you to have fun learning English- there’s so much you can do with a new language once you feel confident using it. Exam preparation classes (Cambridge and IELTS) will be slightly more intense, with more of a focus on exam-specific tasks and more homework, including at least one piece of writing per week.
