Hey!

I'm Mark and I've been an English Language teacher for almost 7 years now. In 2012, I obtained my CELTA and since then, I've been travelling around the world teaching English. I've lived in Ireland, Argentina, Japan, and Spain, teaching General, Business, Academic, and Conversation English to all levels from Beginner to Proficiency. I also have a lot of experience with PET, FCE, and CAE.

In addition to my teaching qualifications, I also have a BA in English and Psychological Studies and an MA in Literature and Publishing so I feel very comfortable with English at all levels. If you want to learn about the Present Simple or discuss Virginia Woolf's style, I'm happy to help!

I know how important it is to feel comfortable when you are learning a new language. Above all, I want the student to feel like they can relax and have fun. You can not learn a language without making mistakes so don't worry! Make mistakes! I'll correct you (when the time is right!) I can offer a variety of lesson types. I mostly specialize in a Communicative Style, which focuses on Speaking and Listening. However, I am also happy to teach Grammar, Writing, Reading skills, etc. and I believe the best way to learn a language is to have some kind of mix of all the skills.

I have about 1,000 hobbies! Movies, Writing, Music, Football, Politics, History, Philosophy, Videogames, Travelling, etc. As such, I am happy to have a conversation about almost anything and will choose a mixture of general and specific topics that suit the student. I've been lucky enough to teach students from all over the World. I've taught Argentine, Japanese, and Spanish students, but also French, German, Korean, Saudi, Vietnamese, Venezuelan, Dutch, Czech, Mexican, Chinese, and on and on!
