Fluent in four languages and with a Bachelor of Modern Languages and Literature with Honours (in Italian and English with a dissertation on Gabriele D’Annunzio e Luchino Visconti) and having taught in Spain, India, and Australia, I have a heightened sensitivity to multicultural settings and a drive to celebrate cultural richness through language activities and especially through literature.

I believe my extensive experience in language teaching across all age groups, in addition to years of team enterprises within schools in many countries, my 10 years of teaching Spanish language immersion programmes in Spain, and preparing French and Italian students to pass their high school foreign language matriculation exams, have prepared me to become an enriching and passionate member of the schools’ community who will continue to grow the school into a magnet for excellence in foreign language studies.

It was while I completed a year’s scholarship in Italy for my Bachelor of Information and Library Studies from the University of Valencia, that I realised my aptitude and love of languages in addition to my passion for literature and, in my drive to continually expand my education, I subsequently pursued my Bachelors in Italian language and literature.

My decade plus of language teaching experiences has emphasised complementing the classroom curriculum and I have always formed cooperative and supportive relationships with teachers that enrich the entire cultural setting of the school.

My lively and energetic style creates a positive bond with students, their parents and my fellow teachers alike.

I have developed resources and skills that are highly engaging to my students that build on their individual strengths. I love to build a passion for languages in my students in ways that motivate them to learn, and I particularly enjoy using practical, interactive learning activities.

I am consistently able to turn around students from reluctant or fearful language learners into confident, enthusiastic class participants by creating lessons that are relevant and attainable. Having completed a practical primary school placement within the Western Australian Education system as part of my degree, I am well versed in the APST educational standards and I also apply the SCASA professional standards.

My many responsibilities across varied settings have included managing resource budgets and knowledge of accounting.

From a practical standpoint, I have completed training in WHS for children and staff. I have also completed First Aid training, CTAS training, and have a certificate in First Aid for Anaphylaxis and Asthma. I also have a current Working with Children Check, and my police background clearance.

In summary, I believe you will find me to be a dynamic, hard-working and passionate team player with a deep love of languages and literature, who celebrates education in a multicultural setting.

I develop strong, positive relationships with teachers, parents and students and will take delight in enhancing the curriculum to develop a living language program for the enrichment of the school community. My qualifications and experience will allow me to contribute to a strong language department that will reflect the overall educational goals of the school or academy I will work for, and enhance its reputation as a magnet school for years to come.
