Matt Van Matre

Hello!

My name is Matt and I am from Denver, Colorado in the United States. I earned my TEFL certification in 2018 and have taught English in countries like Panama and Guatemala. I currently live in Embajadores, Madrid and teach English online to all age groups.

I would love to share my teaching experience with you and develop your conversational English and assist you academically and professionally. My classes will build your confidence in a slow and comfortable setting. We will develop and improve your English vocabulary, grammar, and pronunciation to ensure you are more understood at school and at work. For those with a higher level, I can speed things up and challenge you with native words and phrases you can apply to everyday life. We can spend time reading English articles, watching videos, and researching current topics to keep the classes fun and engaging. I want to challenge the conventional ways of learning through memorizing and try to help you use your new language during classes so you take the knowledge into your daily life.

My main hobby is photography and I enjoy playing sports like futbol, basketball, and throwing a frisbee with friends. I would love to hear about your hobbies and passions, so please share them with me during our lessons.
