I tailor each class to the student whether they are a visual, auditory or tactile learner. I aim to make my classes filled with as much fun and activity as possible especially when leading a class with a large number of students. I feel it is important that people ultimately have fun learning a new language! The structure of each class will depend on the ability of the students. For example a beginner class will start with a simple matching activity but an advanced class might start with an introduction to a journal. I also aim to split my class into 3 halves. A starter, a longer middle activity and a finishing activity that not only concludes the lesson but is a completely different activity to the first two parts of the class -usually not relating in order to keep the attention of the students and to challenge them a bit.
I have taught a wide variety of levels and learners and this too has challenged me to think even more outside the box and push me to be more creative with my classes. I am learning just as much as the students are! With each class I hope to bring more colour and excitement.
