I have a bachelor’s degree in linguistics from the University of Kyiv, which was validated by the Spanish Ministry of Education. I also have a TEFL certificate from The TEFL Academy and numerous online courses from the British Council,I am a highly enthusiastic teacher who believes in teaching English in a fun and interactive way. My lessons are carefully designed to be engaging and focus on meaningful interactions. I have adapted my teaching style over time to prioritize communication as the key approach in my classroom.
With young learners, I use various interactive techniques to make learning enjoyable. We sing songs, watch videos, and engage in Total Physical Response activities that involve movement. I also incorporate hands-on activities to practice grammar and expand my vocabulary. Games play a vital role in keeping their attention and motivation high.
During classes, I create an exciting atmosphere by introducing competitions and board games. We play games like Uno for practicing conditionals, Domino for vocabulary building, and Snakes and Ladders for a fun learning experience. By using these games, children actively participate in tasks without even realizing they are learning. Reading stories and watching cartoons further enhance their vocabulary and listening skills. Children naturally improve their pronunciation by imitating adults.
For adult learners, I provide graded books, audiobooks, and magazines that match their interests. I encourage them to keep a diary to practice writing skills. My main objective is to equip my students with the tools they need to confidently use English in their daily lives, beyond exam preparation. Speaking practice is prioritized in my classes, allowing students to have more speaking time. I use techniques like eliciting vocabulary from them, guiding them to identify their own mistakes, and analyzing complex questions together.
In summary, I am extremely passionate about teaching and aim to inspire the same enthusiasm in my students. I create a positive and enjoyable learning environment where effective communication is the focus.
