My classroom dynamics involves the interaction between students and teachers in a classroom. The purpose of studying classroom dynamics is to learn how to set up a positive classroom atmosphere where students feel comfortable learning and communicating with other students and with the teacher.
My Method of achieving this is highlighted thus:
1. Getting my students interested.
2. Discuss current events.
3. Allow my students to take ownership of their learning.
4. Let students assume various roles in the classroom
5. Have a little fun.
6. Teacher engagement = student engagement.
I usually assess student's prior knowledge and tailor my lessons to build on what students already know.
2. Allow for student collaboration.
3. Use the jigsaw strategy.
4. Give students a task during each lessons.
5. Give student a choice in how they learn.
I taught at elementary school for three months, during the last year at the college. It was difficult at first, as I found it hard to cope with the discipline issues in the classroom. However, after few weeks I found my ground, and I learned what worked with the students, and how to keep the discipline at a reasonable level. Every day was different, and I felt like understanding each student better and better as we progressed in the program. This experience helped me to understand that teaching was a right choice for my career, and now I am motivated to teach, It was an extraordinary time, and to be honest, I still miss the children.
