Within the approach of Communicative Language Teaching, I deal with all components of discourse, functional, grammatical, and sociolinguistic while teaching English as well as Spanish. With a focus on real-world contexts, the goal is to prepare students for the use of language in unrehearsed scenarios for meaningful purposes. Learners are encouraged to be agents of their learning process, aware of the appropriate strategies for comprehension and production.

I try to be in sync with the particular needs of each learner, for example, how they are sometimes swayed by their mother tongue, be it either English, German, or Spanish. However, it is relevant to tackle not only the instances of linguistic transferences from L1. It also plays a role, the recognition of the cultural connotations and nuances of English and Spanish in comparison with the first language of the students.
