I have more than six years of experience as a Spanish teacher in China and Africa, working with young and adult learners from more than 40 different nationalities.

Learning best happens when students’ well-being is prioritized, so they flourish. I provide students with a safe environment in which trust is at the core. I build this trust with students by providing them with an inclusive and compassionate learning environment in which they feel challenged to try, ask questions, and acquire and use new language naturally.

Being a modern language teacher also values cultural understanding and linguistic diversity so students can be a catalyst of positive change in their community and beyond. Therefore, I expose my students to cultural experiences throughout their language learning and inquire about cultural artifacts, celebrate a Hispanic festival, or bring a native speaker so they can talk about a specific cultural aspect or read a traditional short story on the spot.

My classes are held in a private and calm environment, with stunning views over the city of Valencia, with the possibility of living an authentic experience, far from the noise and crowds. I adapt to any need to develop Spanish, and I like to teach with authentic experiences, close to daily life and the pulse of the city. For example, I propose activities of daily life such as going to the local market to develop shopping skills and vocabulary, preparing the Spanish language for wine tasting in the Utiel-Requena area, where I come from, etc. In short, I can adapt to any situation and linguistic need.

My open-mindedness, flexibility, caring personality, and being a good listener have proven to be good assets in collaborative practices with students. Additionally, I have a high level of enthusiasm for the use of technology, which I use in my lessons.
