During the period of time I lived in the United States I taught Spanish lessons to a wide range of individuals of different ages. Spanish there is a second language.
I am planning on adjusting my lessons to the needs of the student to get to the goal set by them or their family. I would like to reinforce their abilities on different areas of English such as grammar, writing, listening, speaking and comprehension; this would be done with exercises of my own, exercises from books I have, or exercises from books provided by the family or the school the student goes to. This is a choice the family can take and I will adjust to it.
Depending on the level of the student I can provide classes where we just talk in English or I can explain in English and enlarge it in Spanish if necessary, that is a choice for the family to do too.
